Great post, Synolve. This describes a lot of folks I know, including myself. I have a clear passion, but when the bills start to pile up, I start to chicken out. Overcoming the fear of lack can be especially challenging for mothers and other caregivers. I end up allowing myself to be distracted, spreading myself too thin. That behavior backfires and we prevent ourselves from manifesting. For me, keeping a dreamboard helps me stay focused on my vision, as does surrounding myself with positive people and activities.
I agree. It can be difficult to say ‘no’ at times, but ulimately we are the holders of ‘the line’; the one between giving and giving too much of ourselves. I really like this piece, for its power, clarity, and fierceness.
oh, my God, fan fricken tastic!!! This is wonderfully written from your heart, and I felt every word. You are amazing. I’m grateful you allowed me in “friend”!!! Love YOu, Laurie
